Play 2014: Rudolph

Benvolguts "parents",

Com bé sabeu aquest any estem utilitzant els llibres Tiger de l'editorial MacMillan.

Hem detectat que molts de vosaltres heu tingut problemes per accedir a l'apartat Markbook dels llibres on-line. Us posem els passos que heu de seguir per ajudar-vos:

1) Accediu al web www.tiger.macmillan.es

2) On indica la fletxa vermella, heu d'escriure el vostre nom d'usuari i contrasenya (el que ja heu creat amb el codi de l'Activity Book). 

3) Aneu a la secció Markbook. Us demanarà un "GROUP CODE". Introduiu el codi  que us pertoqui segons el nivell del vostre fill/filla.

Halloween game

Students at 5th level had a great time playing a funny Halloween game: Apple bobbing.

According to Wikipedia...

"Apple bobbing, also known as bobbing for apples, is a game often played on Halloween. The game is played by filling a tub or a large basin with water and putting apples in the water. Because apples are less dense than water, they will float at the surface. Players (usually children) then try to catch one with their teeth. Use of arms is not allowed, and often are tied behind the back to prevent cheating.

In Scotland, this may be called "dooking". In northern England, the game is often called apple ducking or duck-apple."

Durant el mes de setembre i octubre us hem fet arribar a casa una carta amb informació de l'àrea d'anglès que està cursant el/la vostre/a fill/a en aquest moment. Per a que en pugueu seguir tenint accés us en facilitem un enllaç aquí:

Com ajudar el teu fill/@ amb l'anglès?!

A continuació us adjuntem una proposta de consells de l'editorial Macmillan perquè l'alumnat es diverteixi amb l’anglès i aprengui més.

• Digues-li frases en anglès cada dia, per exemple, Have a nice day, Good morning, Good night, etc.

• Entra amb el teu fill als materials online de Tiger – hi trobareu cançons del curs, contes i divertits jocs en anglès per cantar i jugar junts.

• Practica l’anglès amb el teu fill sempre que puguis, per exemple, anomenant els aliments que veieu al supermercat o cantant cançons en anglès quan aneu amb cotxe.

• Prepara un “racó de l’anglès” (English corner) a casa amb llibres de contes en anglès, alguns CD de música en anglès i fotografies de coses típiques de països de llengua anglesa.

• Per a festes com les d’aniversari, feu plegats a casa targetes de felicitació en anglès.

• Ajuda el teu fill a enganxar a les coses que hi ha a casa uns pòstits amb el nom en anglès de cadascuna.

• Para atenció a allò que el nen faci bé en anglès; per exemple, cada cop que aprengui una paraula o una cançó nova elogia’l dient That’s great! o Well done!

Everytime our students, from 3rd to 6th levels, come into the English classroom they must say a password. Otherwise they go at the end of the line again. Sometimes it's easy, sometimes it's challenging.

This year we have started with an easy one: "Here you are again"
